Hi, I'm

Let Me Tell You a Bit About Myself

Born in Panama, to a Swiss father and a Panamanian mother, I grow up in Switzerland. I graduated in Veterinary Medicine in Valencia, Spain, and after my graduation, I ventured to China to work as an equine veterinarian. My passion and love for animals have led me to travel the world, allowing me to enrich and deepen my veterinary practice.

Today, my focus in veterinary medicine is integrative and preventive. After training in Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, I understood the importance of considering the body as a whole: physically, emotionally, and constitutionally. To maintain overall good health, it is essential not only to focus on what is wrong but on the entire organism and its environment.

I adopted one of the basic principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine: you don’t just visit the doctor when you’re sick, but to prevent illness. This principle guides my practice and my vision to offer veterinary care that promotes the health and overall well-being of every animal.

Ethology and Animal Behavior

Since I was a child, my connection with animals has been a cornerstone of my life. I started horseback riding at the age of 6, and over time, I noticed that my way of understanding and interacting with them, especially with horses, differed from the traditional teachings of equestrian centers. That was when I discovered a completely different approach to horsemanship: riding without a saddle, without reins, communicating through body language, and most importantly, without imposing or dominating the horse.

To work in harmony with horses and other animals, I realized that I first needed to understand their communication and natural behaviors. This realization sparked my interest in ethology, the science that studies animal behavior in their natural environment. Thanks to this approach, I had the opportunity to train horses for equestrian shows in France and Switzerland, always prioritizing respect and animal welfare, striving for a genuine and as natural a connection as possible.

Today, my goal is to continue deepening my knowledge in this field. That’s why I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine with a specialization in Domestic Animal Ethology, which will be completed in 2025. This program will not only expand my expertise but also enable me to contribute to improving the relationship between humans and animals, promoting a more respectful and balanced coexistence.
